Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Cathay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray comes to the cage accompanied by Buckethead - Soothsayer. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gray fails with the takedown.
Cathay throws a sloppy head kick and Gray moves out of range easily.
Gray takes a swing at Cathay's ribcage but misses.
Gray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cathay is fending him off so far but Gray persists. Nope, Cathay circles away and we're back to standing.
Gray slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Cathay tries to land a front kick but Gray steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cathay as he jumps to the side.

That was a close round but I would say that Brett Gray will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
No joy there for Cathay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Brett Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gray sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Cathay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gray moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Cathay counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cathay moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cathay delivers a nice body kick.

Gray looks for a takedown but Cathay sprawls well.
Cathay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gray drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Cathay stuffs the takedown attempt from Gray. Gray gets slowly back to his feet.

Cathay lands a big head kick that sends Gray tumbling to the mat! Cathay takes a step backwards and waves Gray back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cathay throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Oh Gray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cathay thows a body kick. Gray tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Cathay flashes Gray a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Gray's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Gray crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Cathay punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
