The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narvaez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Narvaez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Evangelisti's calf.
Evangelisti lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Narvaez sizes up Evangelisti with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Evangelisti makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Narvaez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Narvaez is looking to advance position but Evangelisti won't allow it.

Evangelisti is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Evangelisti counters with a double leg. Narvaez bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Evangelisti follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.
