Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Furio Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Syah Pernong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcone's entrance music is Hatebreed - Live for this. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Syah Pernong looking to score a takedown here. Falcone is defending well but Syah Pernong drives through and ends up in Falcone's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Falcone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Syah Pernong is one step ahead there.

Falcone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Syah Pernong is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Syah Pernong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Falcone as he avoids it easily.

Falcone lands an elbow just above Syah Pernong 's eye.
Syah Pernong is breathing heavily.
Falcone jerks Syah Pernong's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Syah Pernong drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Falcone goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Falcone because Syah Pernong was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
