The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupaus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lupaus throws a hook to the side of Rhymes's head but Rhymes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lupaus looks to score with a jab to the body but Rhymes is just out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Rhymes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lupaus tries to clinch but Rhymes is having none of it.
Nuppu Lupaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rhymes throws a series of punches but Lupaus moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rhymes, right into the meat.

Rhymes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rhymes there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rhymes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lupaus throws a jab when Rhymes was well out of range.
Lupaus feints a jab promting Rhymes to slip. Lupaus then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rhymes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Rhymes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A slow jab from Lupaus misses its intended target.
Rhymes misses with a looping right.
Rhymes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lupaus moves to clinch but Rhymes breaks away
and Rhymes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rhymes needs to keep his hands up - Lupaus had a free shot at his head there.
Rhymes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lupaus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lupaus thows a body shot but no joy.
Lupaus misses with a straight left.
Lupaus takes a swing at Rhymes's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lupaus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rhymes misses with a looping right.
A telegraphed right hand from Lupaus misses the target.
Rhymes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rhymes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rhymes connects with a leg kick. Lupaus looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

A swing and a miss from Rhymes.
Rhymes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lupaus.
Rhymes lands a jab to Lupaus's midsection.
Rhymes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rhymes throws a series of punches but Lupaus avoids them all with ease.
Rhymes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lupaus misses with a body shot.

Lupaus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Rhymes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lupaus avoids it really well and circles away.

Lupaus misses with a hook. Rhymes ducked under it nicely.
Lupaus just misses with a punch to the body.
