Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eiji Kisaragi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mung McArthur!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McArthur listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
McArthur throws a nice looking combination but Kisaragi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McArthur lands an overhand right.
Kisaragi is rocked!
Kisaragi lands with a kick to the temple. McArthur shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Oh Kisaragi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kisaragi wants to clinch.
Kisaragi seems to have got his legs back now.
Kisaragi has managed to clinch.
McArthur is trying to trip Kisaragi. He has hold of a leg but Kisaragi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McArthur persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kisaragi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McArthur content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kisaragi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McArthur trying to control but Kisaragi is working from the bottom.
Kisaragi working for a triangle but McArthur defends it easily.
McArthur trying to control the position from guard on top but Kisaragi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McArthur missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kisaragi is looking to sinch up a triangle. McArthur throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kisaragi's body to avoid the submission. Kisaragi has instead reached around McArthur's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kisaragi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Eiji Kisaragi!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Eiji Kisaragi waved his t-shirt featuring HeavyWeight Designs's logo in front of the cameras.
