The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Slash keeps control of Merlin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Merlin avoids the elbow strike from Slash, against the ropes.
The referee is keeping an eye on Slash - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Slash ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Slash no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Merlin stops Slash from standing up.
Slash looking to hit a scissor sweep but Merlin is one step ahead there.
Slash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Merlin scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Slash manages to mount him!

Merlin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Slash is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Merlin is surviving well by controlling Slash's body position as best he can.

Slash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Slash! Merlin is hurt baaadly! Slash is firing away with more strikes - Merlin is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
