Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirk Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boans has chosen Walk by Pantera as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Boans!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boans doesn't manage to clinch there - Coleman circles away.
Coleman looks to throw the jab but Boans is out of range.
Horrible takedown by Boans or perhaps it was just good defense by Coleman which made him look bad.

Coleman clinches up with Boans and pushes him back against the cage.
Boans tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A frustrated look appears on Coleman's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Coleman successfully pulls guard.
Boans keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Coleman's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coleman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Boans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coleman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boans has managed to get both his arms back between Coleman's legs - danger averted.
Coleman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Coleman wants to stand but Boans is controlling the position.
Coleman looking for a sweep. Not yet Coleman, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman keeping moving, preventing Boans from controlling successfully.

Boans might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Coleman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Boans throwing strikes from guard but Coleman blocks nicely.
Boans slips nicely into half guard.
Boans wants to get back to his feet.
Boans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coleman's head.
Coleman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Coleman tries to kick Boans off but Boans keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Coleman is looking to improve his position.

Boans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Boans working over Coleman with some ground and pound. Coleman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

It looks like Mirk Coleman has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Coleman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boans.
Boans sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Coleman defending well though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
