The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Rua.
Rua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Operhalski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rua misses with a double jab.
Rua looks to land a combination but Operhalski avoids it well.
Rua throws a big shot that misses.

Operhalski closes the distance and clinches up with Rua, looking for a takedown. Operhalski pushes Rua against the cage but Rua circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rua lands with a hook. Operhalski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rua's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Operhalski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rua's waist but Rua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Operhalski off to one side.
