Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulong misses with a body shot.
Ziyad fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wulong lands a glancing blow to the side of Ziyad's head.
Wulong scores with a nice body kick.
Wulong cracks a nice hook into Ziyad's ribs.
Wulong lands with an overhand left.
Wulong shoots and misses
and Ziyad counters with a low kick, right behind Wulong 's knee.
Wulong throws a wild body kick that Ziyad sees coming a mile off.
Ziyad gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ziyad moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Wulong.
Ziyad landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Wulong is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wulong looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Wulong tries to get to full guard but Ziyad has control of the leg.

Ziyad cracks Wulong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Ziyad is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Wulong is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Wulong flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ziyad anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Wulong and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ziyad slips an arm under Wulong chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ziyad has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ziyad is squeezing on Wulong like an anaconda would it's prey. Wulong fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tariq Ziyad!
