Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Treyton Kael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatanka Stag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatanka Stag is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stag needs to keep his hands up - Kael had a free shot at his head there.
Stag fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stag shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kael sprawls well. Kael wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stag gets slowly back to his feet.
Kael stuffs the takedown.

Kael wants to control the action here but instead Stag manages to pass to full mount!

Stag throws some wild stikes that Kael manages to avoid easily.

Stag goes for an armbar but Kael turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kael.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Stag has his hands on Kael's head, controlling the position.
Stag is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kael defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stag looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kael passes into side control.

Stag shoots in for a double leg but Kael sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stag shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kael but Kael pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stag closes the distance and clinches up with Kael, looking for a takedown. Stag pushes Kael against the ropes but Kael circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kael misses with an uppercut. Stag saw that one coming.

Kael loads up on a big right hand but Stag slips the punch.
Kael throws out a leg kick but Stag moves out of range and Kael only half commits.

Kael tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Stag paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A cross from Kael lands.
Stag shoots in looking for a takedown. Kael tries to sprawl out of it but Stag keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kael manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stag fails with the takedown.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stag shoots in but Kael avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Stag checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Stag in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Stag is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kael is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kael has escaped and now he's on top!
Stag can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kael controls the pace.

Stag is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stag is trying to control the position but Kael postures up.
Kael trying to move into half guard but instead Stag has managed to sweep!
Stag tries to free his leg and advance position but Kael is retaining full guard.
Stag drops back looking for a leg! Kael is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kael manages to kick Stag off! Stag jumps back into Kael's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stag postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nice takedown defense from Kael. No joy for Stag on that attempt.

Stag feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Stag sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kael's guard.
Stag in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kael tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stag!
