Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Connor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor tries for a takedown but Tucker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Connor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tucker but Tucker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Connor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tucker is fending him off so far but Connor persists. Nope, Tucker circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Connor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Connor shoots in for a takedown but Tucker shows good takedown defense.

Tucker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Tucker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tucker is working for a kimura but Connor is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tucker is pressing down on Connor's thigh, looking to free his foot. Connor is holding on for now.
Connor wants to get back to his feet.

Tucker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Connor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tucker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tucker lands strikes from half guard.
Connor keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tucker wants to control but Connor is keeping him busy.
Tucker performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Connor wants to get back to full guard.

Connor is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tucker pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Tucker is looking to take a break and control but Connor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Connor is not content to let Tucker control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Tucker counters with a nice uppercut.
Connor is breathing heavily.

Tucker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Connor!

Tucker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Tucker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Connor tries to reverse the position but Tucker maintains control.

Tucker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Connor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Connor regains half guard.

Tucker wants to work for an arm triangle but Connor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tucker seems to be looking for submissions.
Tucker works his way into full mount!
Connor wants to hold on but Tucker pushes him away.
Tucker trying to control but Connor is having none of it.
Tucker lands a big shot there that rocks Connor but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tucker wants to control the pace but Connor is squirming around nicely.
Tucker lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Tucker working for a guillotine from mount but Connor is in no mood to give up.

Tucker looking to isolate an arm here. Connor doesn't see it coming and as Tucker extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Tucker!
