Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay And (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommi Turmiola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turmiola is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica: Enter Sandman. Tommi Turmiola will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lay And!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Turmiola!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turmiola clinches up against the cage.
And could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Turmiola blocks an uppercut.

Turmiola breaks from the clinch.

Turmiola forces And back against the cage and clinches.
And is looking to break free of the clinch but Turmiola has double underhooks.
And fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
And is stalling here.

Turmiola gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, And regains guard.
And might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Turmiola advances position into side control!

Turmiola decides to stand up, so the ref orders And to his feet.

Turmiola dives in and scores a takedown into And's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
And tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And trying to keep a closed guard but Turmiola is proving a slippery customer.
Turmiola stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. And swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turmiola would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Turmiola must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
And working a defensive guard but Turmiola passes into half guard.
And tries to get to full guard but Turmiola has control of the leg.
And gets full guard.
And utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Turmiola tries to lock up and control but And gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Turmiola is trying to escape the mount.
Turmiola is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
And throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And prevents Turmiola from getting the reversal.
Turmiola wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by And.
Turmiola tries to control the position but And now has his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turmiola rolls, trying to escape but And keeps control of the position.

And is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Turmiola taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from And.
