Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lelouch Laperouge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Stiches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lelouch Laperouge could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mac Stiches's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laperouge scores with a takedown into Stiches's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Laperouge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stiches swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Laperouge wants to control from the top but Stiches keeps moving.

Laperouge drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stiches looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stiches looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stiches!
Laperouge wants to control but Stiches postures up.

Laperouge is looking to regain half guard here but Stiches keeps moving and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lelouch Laperouge.

Laperouge swings for the body but Stiches moves out of range.
Stiches tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laperouge paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laperouge attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Stiches displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laperouge throws out the jab.
Mac Stiches is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stiches doesn't manage to clinch there - Laperouge circles away.
Stiches walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Laperouge checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Laperouge scores a takedown into full mount!

Laperouge stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Laperouge throws a hook but Stiches avoids it easily.
Laperouge changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stiches tries to avoid it but Laperouge manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stiches to the ground. Stiches escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Laperouge missing with a left hand there. Stiches was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Laperouge fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stiches avoids it really well and circles away.
Laperouge shoots in for a takedown but Stiches shows good takedown defense.
Stiches takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Laperouge.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stiches tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Laperouge throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stiches's waist but Stiches gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laperouge off to one side.

Laperouge tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stiches just stands there and leans against the cage.

Stiches misses with a knee to the head.
Laperouge tries to score a body lock takedown but Stiches shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Stiches throws an elbow but it misses.
Stiches is struggling to control the position.
Laperouge tries to work over Stiches's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Laperouge has Stiches pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stiches manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Laperouge changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stiches fights it off and pushes away nicely.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Stiches tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laperouge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stiches throws a lazy right hand but Laperouge sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Stiches throws a right hand that Laperouge ducks under and follows up with a left that Laperouge also avoids with ease.
Jab, jab by Laperouge - just one landing.
Stiches doesn't manage to clinch there - Laperouge circles away.
Laperouge takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Laperouge misses with a takedown attempt - Stiches sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stiches tries to close the distance and clinch but Laperouge swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Laperouge is defended easily by Stiches.
Stiches will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Laperouge is pressing down on Stiches's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stiches is holding on for now.
Stiches pushes Laperouge off looking to stand but Laperouge dives back in and keeps control.

Laperouge stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Laperouge throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Stiches gets caught napping as Laperouge dives in and scores a takedown. Stiches manages to retain guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Laperouge throws a strike but Stiches rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stiches has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Laperouge to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stiches is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Laperouge pulls down on the head and he's put Stiches to sleep! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Lelouch Laperouge started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
