Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anus Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Gregson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregson has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor by Drowning Pool as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anus Saukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carl Gregson!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gregson.
Saukko misses with a two punch combination.
Saukko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Saukko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gregson drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gregson passes Saukko's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Saukko is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gregson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gregson is looking to advance position but Saukko won't allow it.

Gregson seems to be looking for submissions.
Saukko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gregson on the ground.
Gregson is pressing down on Saukko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Saukko is holding on for now.

Gregson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saukko defends it well.

Gregson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gregson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saukko sees it coming and defends easily.

Gregson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Saukko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gregson.

Gregson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Gregson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Gregson wants to finish this one by submission but Saukko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gregson.

Gregson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Gregson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gregson lands a big elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gregson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Saukko manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Saukko defending against the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gregson swings around for an armbar but Saukko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gregson's guard.
Gregson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Gregson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Saukko throws a series of punches but Gregson moves out of range.
Anus Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gregson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Saukko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gregson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Saukko, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gregson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Saukko wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Gregson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Gregson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gregson.
Carl Gregson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Saukko keeping full guard, as Gregson tries to pass.
Gregson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gregson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saukko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saukko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Saukko!
Gregson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gregson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Saukko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gregson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Saukko is aware though and is defending well.
Saukko stopping the sweep attempt from Gregson.

Gregson pushes a forearm under Saukko's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Saukko is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carl Gregson!
