Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Vallee! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vallee drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hawk wants to stand and escape but Vallee is having none of it. Vallee tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawk is retaining full guard. Vallee postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Vallee with a flurry of punches that miss. Vallee drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hawk manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vallee has Hawk in his guard. Vallee looking for a guillotine here but Hawk defends easily.
Vallee tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk slips nicely into half guard. Vallee actively working from the bottom here. Vallee actively working from the bottom here. Vallee looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Hawk pushes past his half guard into mount! Vallee can't escape the position.
Vallee wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vallee in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vallee gets back to half guard. Vallee tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Vallee looking for submissions off his back. Vallee looks gassed! Vallee slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hawk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vallee throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hawk escapes and throws Vallee's legs to the side, diving into side control! Vallee regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vallee looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vallee is looking for a sweep. Hawk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vallee actively working from the bottom here. Vallee tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hawk has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Hawk with shots to the head and body - Vallee looks very uncomfortable down there. Hawk looking to control but Vallee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hawk putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Vallee is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Vallee is out cold - huge knockout for Hawk!
