The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dafoe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zaharov is fending him off so far but Dafoe persists. Nope, Zaharov circles away and we're back to standing.
Dafoe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Dafoe's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Zaharov is holding on here and Dafoe must be using up a lot of energy. Zaharov has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Dafoe gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
