Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Heydrich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paulo Antonio!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heydrich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Antonio is fending him off so far but Heydrich persists. Nope, Antonio circles away and we're back to standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Antonio is defended easily by Heydrich.
Antonio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heydrich's waist but Heydrich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Antonio off to one side.
Antonio is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Antonio throws a right hand that Heydrich ducks under and follows up with a left that Heydrich also avoids with ease.

Heydrich shoots in but Antonio avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Antonio closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Heydrich quickly recovers to half guard.

Antonio is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Antonio in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Antonio might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Paulo Antonio dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Heydrich lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Heydrich's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Antonio tries to clinch there but Heydrich circles away.

Heydrich manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Antonio trying to control the position from guard on top but Heydrich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Antonio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Antonio throws a big right hand that misses.

Antonio seems to be working for a kimura but Heydrich defends the submission attempt.
Antonio is keen to just control but Heydrich is a slippery customer.
Heydrich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heydrich tries to get out of the position.

Antonio tries to stand but can't do so whilst Heydrich controls his leg.

Heydrich is pushing Antonio's head away, looking to escape. Antonio manages to hold on to the position though.
Antonio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heydrich keeps working.

Antonio is working to tighten is grip on Heydrich's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Heydrich has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Antonio is really squeezing tight and eventually Heydrich passes out! Antonio breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
