Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hikaru Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tengo Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hikaru Sato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tengo Ray! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sato misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sato misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sato moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sato swings for the body but Ray moves out of range.
Hikaru Sato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sato lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A nice combination there by Sato.
Sato stuffs the takedown. Sato throws a series of punches but Ray avoids them all with ease. Sato scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! An inside leg kick lands from Sato. Ray shoots in and drives through. Sato sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Sato. Sato lands with a thumping leg kick.
Sato cracks the inside of Ray's front leg. Sato connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ray's hands. Sato tries to bum rush Ray with a series of wild strikes but Ray uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sato misses with a body shot.
Sato lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Sato lands a two punch combo.
Ray looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sato misses with a body kick. Ray looking to score a takedown here. Sato is defending well but Ray drives through and ends up in Sato's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray has gone for a leg lock! Sato slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ray's guard. Ray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sato is trying to stand.
Ray missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sato wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ray has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ray moves nicely into side control. Sato wants to get back to his feet but Ray drags him back down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray throws an elbow but Sato slips to the side and avoids it well. Ray sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sato is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ray is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sato looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ray gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sato is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ray lets go of the hold and Sato can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tengo Ray!
