Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lewis McLay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dany Doan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis McLay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dany Doan!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doan misses with a takedown attempt

and McLay counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Doan's guard now.
McLay throwing strikes but missing.
McLay wants to pass the guard but Doan is keeping the position.

McLay drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doan dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McLay will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McLay tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McLay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Doan wants to stand and escape but instead McLay has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Doan is looking to stand back up but McLay counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Doan.

McLay looks to land a strike but Doan avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Doan controls McLay momentarily but McLay frees himself.

Doan got a little sloppy there for a moment and McLay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doan has managed to get both his arms back between McLay's legs - danger averted.

McLay is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Doan wants to stand but McLay has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McLay will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

McLay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Doan wanted to stand there but McLay had control of the position.

McLay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McLay manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doan manages to get himself to full guard.
Doan is trying to control the position but McLay postures up.

Doan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McLay defends it easily.

Doan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McLay to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Doan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McLay pulls down on the head and he's put Doan to sleep! This one is all over!
