And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adis Tankov!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tankov tries to work over Katsumoto's front leg with a kick but Katsumoto checks it.
Tankov lands a nice leg kick that just misses Katsumoto's sensitive parts.
Katsumoto scores with a head kick. Tankov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Adis Tankov has been cut.
Katsumoto lands a leg kick that knocks Tankov off balance momentarily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tankov, right into the meat.
Tankov circles away from the clinch attempt.
A clash of legs there as Katsumoto blocks the low kick.
Tankov closes the distance and clinches up with Katsumoto, looking for a takedown. Tankov pushes Katsumoto against the cage but Katsumoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Adis Tankov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Katsumoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Katsumoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Katsumoto lands a head kick. Tankov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Katsumoto uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
