The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacques tries to land a body kick
and Suhonen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jacques won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Suhonen misses with the ground and pound.
The strikes coming from Suhonen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jacques being controlled for a moment.
Suhonen is working to tighten is grip on Jacques 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jacques has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Suhonen is really squeezing tight and eventually Jacques passes out! Suhonen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
