Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Z Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mann comes to the cage accompanied by Birdland. Drago comes into a darkened arena with his song building. SuperBeast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ivan Drago has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Z Mann's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Drago sprawls well. Drago wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mann gets slowly back to his feet.
Mann uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Drago.
Drago looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.
Drago tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mann was well out of range. Poor timing from Drago.
Donk. Drago catches Mann right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Z Mann has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice uppercut lands for Drago. That snapped Mann's head back.
Mann moves out of range of the strikes.

Drago cracks Mann with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Drago has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mann to stand back up!
Mann just misses with a punch to the body.
Drago takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mann dives in and grabs Drago's left leg, looking for a takedown. Drago pushes down on Mann's head and hops out.

Mann drives through with a takedown into Drago's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Drago controls Mann momentarily but Mann frees himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mann looking to sit in guard and control but Drago gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mann controls Drago momentarily but Drago frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Drago throws a lazy right hand but Mann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Drago misses the shot to the body.
Drago misses with an uppercut.
Mann swats away the attempt to clinch by Drago.
Drago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mann manages to avoid it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mann, right into the meat.
Mann shoots in for a takedown but Drago shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Z Mann. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mann lands with a shot to the body.
Drago throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Drago jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Drago throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ivan Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mann looking to score a takedown here. Drago is defending well but Mann drives through and ends up in Drago's guard.

Mann postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Drago is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Z Mann will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mann is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Drago walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Drago lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Z Mann's cut is getting worse.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mann throws a leg kick but Drago sees it coming and moves out of range.

Drago tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Drago throws a punch but it's blocked by Mann.
Mann tries to land knees in the clinch but Drago avoids the damage to the body.

Mann drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A decent looking cross lands there for Mann.

The cut above Ivan Drago's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Drago digs a good body shot into Mann's ribs.
Mann avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mann displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Drago throws out the jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Drago lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Jeez, Z Mann's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Drago uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mann has time to react.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Z Mann's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
