PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Krzysiek Jawor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and West Rupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jawor comes to the cage accompanied by The Analogs - Miejskie Opowieści. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that West Rupp was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysiek Jawor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, West Rupp!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jawor swings for the body but Rupp moves out of range.
Jawor bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rupp's head backwards.

Rupp drives through with a takedown into Jawor's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jawor keeping full guard, as Rupp tries to pass.
Rupp passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jawor tries to escape but Rupp is in control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jawor gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Rupp working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rupp has hold of Jawor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jawor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rupp wants to control the pace but Jawor is squirming around nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jawor's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Rupp is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jawor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jawor is trying to stand up.

Rupp has hold of Jawor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jawor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rupp wants to finish this one by submission but Jawor is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rupp.

Rupp has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Jawor is forced to tap!
