Bechara has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Evanildo Bechara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bechara tries to move into range but Lasha moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Lasha has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lasha throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bechara.

Bechara does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lasha misses with the combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bechara is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Some bone on bone action there as Lasha checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lasha lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bechara backs up against the cage.

It looks like Evanildo Bechara has been cut.
Bechara tries a low kick but Lasha avoids it.
Oh Bechara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lasha walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bechara drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Lasha swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bechara's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
