PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xv Jobber vX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otou Hek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hek has chosen Tha Playah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 121 - 0, fighting out of London, Xv Jobber vX!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otou Hek!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hek rushes Jobber vX and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hek has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jobber vX clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hek controlling from the back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jobber vX trying to control the action but Hek just sinks the hooks in.
Hek controlling the position well here. Jobber vX rolled but Hek kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Otou Hek was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hek throws a head kick that Jobber vX semi-blocks.


Jobber vX is rocked!
A head kick misses from Hek.
Oh Jobber vX is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hek tries a head kick but it misses.

Jobber vX clinches with his opponent.
Jobber vX seems to have got his legs back now.

Hek has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jobber vX regains guard immediately.
Jobber vX being controlled here, momentarily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Otou Hek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hek closes the distance and clinches.

Hek has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jobber vX is trying to keep an underhook but Hek manages to get the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otou Hek dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Hek pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jobber vX rushes Hek and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hek gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hek content to control rather than advance.
Jobber vX really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Otou Hek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jobber vX darts in and clinches Hek up against the cage.

Hek has picked Jobber vX up - he's going for a ride! Hek dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Hek content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Otou Hek was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Jobber vX's face as Hek controls the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hek's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Otou Hek wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jobber vX gets caught flat footed, as Hek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hek slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Otou Hek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hek throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otou Hek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Jobber vX gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hek to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hek not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jobber vX looking to control.

Otou Hek has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hek scores a takedown into full mount!

Hek controlling the pace for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Otou Hek.

Jobber vX gets tackled into the cage by Hek. Hek maintains the clinch.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Otou Hek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
