Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Madd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King moves in looking to clinch but Madd pushes him off.
No luck for King with that takedown attempt.

Madd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Madd stands up and beckons King to his feet.
King misses with a takedown

and Madd counters by moving into the clinch.
Madd can't get the takedown.
Madd gets underhooks to prevent King's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Madd tries to pull guard but King won't allow it.
King can't get the takedown.
King tries to pull guard but Madd holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.
King misses with an elbow over the top.

Madd fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
King has his takedown stuffed

and Madd counters with a single leg into guard. King didn't expect that.
Madd is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Madd has managed to sneak the leg through.
King is breathing heavily.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Madd working over King with some ground and pound. King looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
King won't allow Madd to pass to mount.
King tries to get to full guard but Madd has control of the leg.

Madd is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
King wants to control but Madd is keeping busy and won't allow it.

King tries to roll over but Madd keeps him under control.

Madd decides to stand up.
Madd keeps the fight on the outside.

Madd scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

King is rocked!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Madd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oh King is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Madd landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Madd decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet.
King seems to have got his legs back now.
King shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Madd counters with a double leg. King bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Madd follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.
