A fine choice. Mohammad is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thé à la Menthe / La Caution / Instrumental. Hassan Mohammad told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate tries for a takedown but Mohammad circles away easily
and Mohammad counters with a nice body shot.
Mohammad throws a good cross that connects.
Mohammad connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tate momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mohammad cracks Tate with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mohammad has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tate to stand back up!

It looks like Patrick Tate has been cut.
Patrick Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mohammad scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tate takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tate is breathing heavily.
Mohammad lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Tate up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Mohammad from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Tate's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Hassan Mohammad tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
