Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between To Na Area (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Na Area tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
Na Area tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice straight punches there by Na Area. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Na Area.

James bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Na Area is not content to let James control the position.
Na Area is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, James asserts his dominance and retains side control.

James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Na Area missing with a left hand there. James was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
James moves in looking to clinch but Na Area pushes him off.

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Na Area is trying to stand back up but James is controlling him

Na Area pushes James off and gets back to his feet.

James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Na Area's guard.
James controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
James's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Na Area is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him.

Na Area kicks James off and gets to his feet.
Na Area is breathing heavily.
Na Area keeps the fight on the outside.

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.

James is working for a kimura but Na Area is defending it quite comfortably.
James prevents Na Area from standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and James counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Na Area has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but James regains guard immediately.
Na Area has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James has a closed guard, preventing Na Area from standing up.

Na Area decides to stand back up. Na Area steps back and let's James get back to his feet.

James shoots in and bounces Na Area off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Na Area is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
James stops Na Area from standing up.
James is in close to Na Area's body, working some short punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



James rushes Na Area and presses him up against the cage.

Na Area is trying to maintain a safe position but James gets an underhook and turns Na Area into the cage.

James is looking for a kimura but Na Area is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for James to get the leverage.

Na Area has hold of James's hands but James slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

James lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Na Area clinches but James breaks the clinch

and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Na Area has one foot on James's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Na Area misses with a lunging right hand

and James counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by James.

Na Area uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Na Area looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely.

and James counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Na Area!

Na Area squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

James wants to control the pace but Na Area is squirming around nicely.
James tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Na Area is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
James fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

James won't let Na Area get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

James has hold of Na Area's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Na Area manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Na Area is looking to escape.

Na Area tries to buck James off but he can't manage it.
James controlling the position easily from mount.
Na Area's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jesse James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Na Area looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
To Na Area seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

James is looking to take a break and control but Na Area is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Na Area is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but James has just dragged him back down to the mat.

James has control of Na Area's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Na Area regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Na Area bucks up and throws James to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Na Area tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.
James throws a low kick, looking for Na Area's leg but Na Area calmly moves out of range.

James shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Na Area but Na Area pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by James.
Na Area wants to get back to his feet but James drags him back down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Na Area tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Jesse James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got James winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
