The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewlett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rauhala scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hewlett is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Hewlett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rauhala's waist but Rauhala gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hewlett off to one side.

Rauhala lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hewlett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rauhala tries to avoid it but Hewlett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rauhala to the ground. Rauhala escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rauhala rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hewlett moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hewlett is working to tighten is grip on Rauhala's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rauhala has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hewlett is really squeezing tight and eventually Rauhala passes out! Hewlett breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
