Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ramirez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth-Trust. Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Superman's Song. Alex Ramirez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ramirez.
Ramirez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ramirez takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.

Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ramirez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramirez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ramirez wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Smith was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Smith tests Ramirez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ramirez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smith digs a good hook to Ramirez's body.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.

Smith lands a big right hand that sends Ramirez crashing to the mat! Smith stays standing though and waves Ramirez back to his feet!

It looks like Alex Ramirez has been cut.

Smith flashes Ramirez a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Ramirez's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Ramirez crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Smith punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
