Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Bowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Bowles has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Bowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harrison Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bowles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bowles is tying to control. Hardy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hardy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bowles would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hardy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bowles is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hardy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bowles's back instead.

Bowles trying to control the action but Hardy just sinks the hooks in.

Bowles is trying to get back to his feet but Hardy has full control of the position and if anything, Bowles has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bowles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hardy on the ground.
Hardy just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hardy has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Hardy is looking for a rear naked choke here but Bowles reverses the position brilliantly into Hardy's guard!
Hardy is striking off his back. Bowles thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Bowles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bowles not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hardy is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardy is in trouble now - Bowles has advanced to mount!
Bowles controlling the pace for now.
Hardy is working to get back to half guard.
Hardy is squirming around, avoiding Bowles's attempts to control the action.
Hardy slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison Hardy dominated that round.

Bowles is looking to regain half guard here but Hardy keeps moving and retains side control.

Bowles is refusing to be controlled, as Hardy sits in half guard.

Hardy is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bowles has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bowles has hold of Hardy's hands but Hardy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bowles is looking to get back to is feet but Hardy passes into side control.
Bowles is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Hardy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hardy tries to advance to mount but Bowles denies him.

Hardy is working for a kimura but Bowles is defending it quite comfortably.
Hardy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bowles throwing hammer fists to the chest of Hardy. What's that going to do exactly?
Bowles is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hardy looking to secure an arm triangle but Bowles defends it well.

Hardy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hardy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bowles has given up his back here. Will Hardy look for the submission or keep pounding away?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bowles tries to roll but Hardy sticks to his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowles is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hardy.

Harrison Hardy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bowles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardy keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hardy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bowles trying to control the action but Hardy is working from the bottom.
Bowles is pressing down on Hardy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hardy is holding on for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hardy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bowles counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Well, if Bowles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bowles is working for a submission of some sort.

Bowles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hardy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hardy is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Bowles pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bowles connects with a nice short shot to Hardy's temple.
Bowles is tying to control. Hardy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hardy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Bowles tries to clinch up but Hardy circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bowles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hardy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bowles fails with the takedown
and Hardy counters with a left to the body.
Hardy doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bowles counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bowles.

Bowles is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hardy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bowles is looking to defend but Hardy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bowles! Hardy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bowles taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Harrison Hardy!
