PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angel Fuente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reijo Rymy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rymy has chosen Killswitch Engage - Holy Diver as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuente steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rymy.
Fuente misses with a wild body shot.
Rymy just misses with a punch to the body.
Rymy sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fuente lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rymy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rymy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rymy steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fuente. That one must have hurt.
Rymy feints a jab promting Fuente to slip. Rymy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fuente slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Fuente lands a slapping body shot.
Fuente throws a half hearted mid kick.

Fuente misses with an uppercut. Rymy saw that one coming.
Rymy moves out of range of the strikes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fuente fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rymy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fuente enables Rymy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fuente manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fuente tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Rymy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fuente as he avoids it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Angel Fuente.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuente, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
