PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Loose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raf Gon DIas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gon DIas has chosen Before I Forget as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Raf Gon DIas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wesley Loose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Raf Gon DIas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gon DIas lunges at Loose with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Loose's hand.
Loose tries to bum rush Gon DIas with a series of wild strikes but Gon DIas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gon DIas moves into the clinch.

Gon DIas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Loose falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gon DIas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gon DIas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Loose. Gon DIas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Loose has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gon DIas.
Loose takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Loose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gon DIas was well out of range. Poor timing from Loose.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No joy there for Loose, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gon DIas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Loose's calf.
Loose blocks a head kick by Gon DIas.
Loose pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gon DIas back to the cage. Loose follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Loose lands an overhand right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Loose throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Loose misses with a jab to the body
and Gon DIas makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Loose really felt that one!
Loose is breathing heavily.
Gon DIas lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Loose goes down and covers up as Gon DIas starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raf Gon DIas!
