Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Weathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and My Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, My Name!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weathers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Name manages to work his way to half guard, despite Weathers's best efforts.
Weathers prevents Name from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Weathers is looking to take a break and control but Name is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Name is looking to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Name can do anything to dispel that myth.
Weathers performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Apollo Weathers.
Name looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Name shoots in looking for a takedown. Weathers tries to sprawl out of it but Name keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Weathers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Weathers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Name was covering up waiting for the punch and Weathers finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Name trying to keep a closed guard but Weathers is proving a slippery customer.
Weathers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Name swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Name really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weathers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Weathers trying to control but Name is working from the bottom.
Weathers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Weathers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Name tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Name keeping moving, preventing Weathers from controlling successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Apollo Weathers has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Name shoots in looking for a takedown. Weathers tries to sprawl out of it but Name keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Weathers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Name shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Weathers defends it nicely.

Weathers darts in and clinches Name up against the cage.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Name as Weathers tries to tie him up.

Weathers manages to pull guard.
Name trying to control but Weathers is working from the bottom.
Weathers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Name!
Name blocking the ground and pound.
Weathers prevents Name from getting the reversal.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Weathers tries to control but Name wriggling away.
Weathers thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Weathers wants to finish this one by submission but Name is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Weathers.
Name bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Name drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Weathers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Name has Weathers in his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weathers wants to stand but Name has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Name not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Apollo Weathers dominated that round.
That's time! Weathers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Name shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weathers pinned against the cage. Weathers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Name.

Weathers moves into the clinch.
Name changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Weathers fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Apollo Weathers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of My Name.
Name shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Weathers as he avoids it easily.

Weathers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Name's guard.

Name working for a triangle but Weathers defends it easily.

Weathers stands and steps away. Name gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Weathers closes the distance and clinches.
Weathers displaying some good clinch control by pressing Name up against the cage.
Name is trying to drag Weathers to the mat but Weathers just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Weathers pulls guard successfully.

Name avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Weathers is trying to keep Name in close.
Weathers keeping moving, preventing Name from controlling successfully.
Name pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Weathers is keeping the position for now.

Weathers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Name is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Name advances position into side control!
Weathers tries to bench press Name off him but Name keeps the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Weathers throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Weathers manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Name is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Name is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Name has a hand on Weathers's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Weathers takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Name tries to improve his position but instead Weathers has taken his back!
Name trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Name preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Weathers.
Weathers is trying to stick to Name's back but Name is turning into Weathers. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Weathers's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Name.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Name looking to pass the guard.
Name sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Weathers's guard.
Weathers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Apollo Weathers will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Name is trying hard to land a takedown here. Weathers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Name wants to control for a moment but Weathers uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Weathers makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Name shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weathers pinned against the cage. Weathers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A right-left combo lands from Weathers.

Weathers throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Name tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Weathers is in Name's guard.
