The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Samburgerhio to the mat! Samburgerhio manages to get full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Martin wants to control from the top but Samburgerhio keeps moving.

Samburgerhio has his foot on Martin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martin works his way back into a safe position though.

Samburgerhio is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martin defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Samburgerhio has managed to free his arm - good work.
Samburgerhio is looking for a sweep. Martin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Martin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samburgerhio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martin has managed to get both his arms back between Samburgerhio's legs - danger averted.

Martin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
