Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaiden Shinji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Campbell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Click Click, by Mobb Deep. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campbell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shinji's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campbell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Campbell throws a big right hand that misses.

Campbell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shinji manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Campbell has Shinji in his guard.

Shinji wants to control from the top but Campbell keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gaiden Shinji wasn't active enough on the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shinji can do anything to dispel that myth.
