Steel's entrance music is Survivor - Burning Heart. A fine choice. Boy has chosen New York as his entrance music. First Boy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No joy there for Steel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Steel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

It looks like First Boy has been cut.
Steel throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boy throws out the jab.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Steel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Steel lands a nice hook to Boy's body. Boy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Steel has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Steel.
Well Steel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
