PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Uri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Griffin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Claw. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Uri!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uri shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Griffin as he avoids it easily.
Griffin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Griffin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Griffin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Uri.
Uri lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sam Uri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin scores with a kick to the midsection.
Griffin throws a shot to the body.
Uri looks gassed!
Griffin scores with a spinning back kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Griffin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Uri's calf.
Griffin scores with a head kick. Uri tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Sam Uri has been cut.
Uri chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Griffin can pounce on him.
Uri on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Uri stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Griffin.
Griffin keeps Uri at a distance using the push kick.
Griffin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffin works over Uri's head and body with a nice combination.
Uri gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
