The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Groenberg.
Groenberg closes the distance and clinches up with Sparbot, looking for a takedown. Groenberg pushes Sparbot against the ropes but Sparbot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Groenberg drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sparbot wants to sweep but no luck.
Groenberg postures up and lands a big shot to Sparbot's brow.

Sparbot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Groenberg is controlling him.

Sparbot is in a horrible position here. Groenberg smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Groenberg is landing with some decent strikes but Sparbot is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Sparbot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Groenberg on the ground.
