The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony shoots in looking for a takedown. Sperry tries to sprawl out of it but Anthony keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sperry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Anthony dives in and grabs Sperry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sperry pushes down on Anthony's head and hops out.
Anthony shoots in for a takedown but Sperry shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Anthony. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Sperry misses.
Sperry dips to his left and cracks Anthony with an uppercut!
It looks like Stephen Anthony has been cut.
Stephen Anthony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
