Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dugu Kawatana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anus Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anus Saukko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dugu Kawatana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anus Saukko!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko looks to land a combination but Kawatana avoids it well.
No joy there for Saukko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Saukko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Saukko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Saukko throws a nice looking combination but Kawatana bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Saukko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kawatana circles away quickly and effectively.

Kawatana bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Saukko is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kawatana has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saukko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawatana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saukko is looking to stand up but Kawatana isn't so interested in that idea.

We're going to have a standup here because Dugu Kawatana wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dugu Kawatana.

Saukko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kawatana.

Kawatana shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Saukko is trying to defend but Kawatana finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kawatana looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Saukko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kawatana wants to control but Saukko is keeping him busy.

Kawatana moves into full mount! Saukko won't be happy about that!

Kawatana misses with some ground and pound and Saukko recovers position to half guard.
Kawatana lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Saukko has hold of Kawatana's hands but Kawatana slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Saukko is in trouble now - Kawatana has advanced to mount!

Dugu Kawatana showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kawatana, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
