Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chad Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Roque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roque has chosen Parangolé - Balacobaco as his entrance music. Vitor Roque will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vitor Roque!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roque lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Mendes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Roque throws a nice looking combination but Mendes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Roque swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Roque drives through and clinches with Mendes against the cage.

Mendes turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Mendes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Roque has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mendes but great work by Roque.
Mendes manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Mendes is looking for a kimura but Roque is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mendes to get the leverage.

Mendes is working for a submission of some sort.

Mendes in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Roque tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mendes!
