The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels shoots for a double leg takedown but Uusierkki sprawls well. He's pushed Michaels's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Uusierkki has hold of one of Michaels's legs. Michaels is fighting the takedown attempt but Uusierkki gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Michaels can't keep his opponent in guard - Uusierkki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Uusierkki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Michaels defends it well.
Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uusierkki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Uusierkki has control of Michaels's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Michaels regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Uusierkki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Michaels to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Michaels shrugs it off.
