Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Axon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Nitschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Axon had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Adam Axon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitschke misses with a hook.

Nitschke cracks Axon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Axon is pressed up against the cage. Nitschke has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Axon down to the mat. Axon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A jab from Nitschke finds it's way through Axon's defenses.

Nitschke throws a good cross that connects.

Nitschke shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Axon is on queer street and Nitschke is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
