Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Riddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva walks forward, straight into a front kick from Riddler.
Riddler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A nice combination there by Riddler.

It looks like Rodrick Silva has been cut.
Riddler fails in his attempt to clinch.
Silva takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Riddler takes the fight into the clinch.

Riddler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riddler wants to clinch.
Riddler tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

Silva shoots for a takedown but Riddler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silva looks gassed!
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Riddler forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Riddler lands an elbow inside.
Riddler lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye.

Riddler manages to break the clinch.
Ben Riddler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riddler tries to clinch up.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riddler is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Riddler sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Riddler drops Silva with a left and a right! Oh, Silva is hurt - Riddler dives into side control looking to finish!

Silva is rocked!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Riddler wants to stand but Silva has his arm trapped.
Riddler trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Silva manages to get to full guard.
Riddler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riddler is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.
Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Riddler wants to stand and escape but instead Silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on Riddler's face as Silva controls the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Riddler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Riddler scores with a kick to the midsection.
Riddler tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Silva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Riddler screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva! Nice submission victory there!
