The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a right and a left that Mousasi avoids nicely.

Couture gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mousasi works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mousasi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mousasi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mousasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Couture's head.

It looks like Mousasi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Couture is bucking up trying to escape but Mousasi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

It looks like Randy Couture has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Couture wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mousasi.
Mousasi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mousasi connects with a bit shot that sees Couture covering up! More strikes from Mousasi and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Mousasi is our winner by TKO!
