Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Diggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diggs kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Diggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Butch Knuckles!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Left hook, right uppercut from Diggs.

Knuckles moves into the clinch.
Knuckles fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Diggs as Knuckles tries to tie him up.
Diggs makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Diggs tries a body shot but Knuckles blocks it.
Knuckles fails to pull guard.

Diggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Diggs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knuckles tries to hold on but Diggs pushes him away.
Diggs throwing strikes here but Knuckles is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Diggs with a couple of short strikes.
Knuckles wants to get back to his feet.

Diggs with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Knuckles is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Knuckles tries to hold on but Diggs pushes him away.
Knuckles takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Diggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Diggs moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Knuckles has worked his arm free - good work by Knuckles!
Knuckles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Knuckles is not content to let Diggs control the position.
Diggs creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Knuckles sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diggs throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Knuckles works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Diggs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Knuckles defends it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diggs takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Diggs not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Diggs missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Diggs slips a nice elbow through Knuckles's hands, connecting with Knuckles's forehead.
Diggs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knuckles keeps working.

Diggs gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Knuckles gets caught flat footed, as Diggs shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diggs in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Knuckles is working an open guard so Diggs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Knuckles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diggs as he jumps to the side.
Knuckles looks gassed!

Diggs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Diggs.
Knuckles drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reggie Diggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Butch Knuckles.
Diggs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Diggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knuckles shoots in looking for a takedown but Diggs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knuckles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diggs dips to his left and cracks Knuckles with an uppercut!
Diggs misses with a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knuckles shoots for a double leg takedown but Diggs sprawls well. He's pushed Knuckles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Knuckles gets caught napping as Diggs dives in and scores a takedown. Knuckles manages to retain guard.
Knuckles utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Diggs controls from within his opponent's guard.
Diggs working some strikes from top position.

Knuckles is rocked!
Diggs is working Knuckles over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Knuckles is still in real trouble! Can Diggs finish him?
Diggs gets to his feet and stands over Knuckles, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Knuckles felt that one! Diggs unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Knuckles from any more punishment!
