The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Winchester which made him look bad.
Winchester leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sam Winchester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Silva.

Winchester shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Winchester thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
