The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Vandelay. Keefer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vandelay changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Keefer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vandelay circles away quickly and effectively.
Vandelay scores with a head kick. Keefer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Mark Keefer has been cut.
Vandelay tried to score with a low kick but Keefer checks it.
Keefer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vandelay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Keefer takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Vandelay scores with a leg kick.
Vandelay misses with a series of wild punches.
Vandelay throws a head kick but Keefer moves out of range.
Keefer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

A punch lands to the side of Vandelay 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Keefer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooh!!! Vandelay has knocked Keefer down with a huge combo! Vandelay steps away and waves a wobbly Keefer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Vandelay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Vandelay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Keefer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vandelay circles away quickly and effectively.
Keefer throws a series of punches but Vandelay avoids them all with ease.
Vandelay lands with a kick to the temple. Keefer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Vandelay thuds his right hand into Keefer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Vandelay cracks Keefer on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Keefer falls backwards against the cage. Vandelay follows up with more strikes that drop Keefer to his knees. Vandelay keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Keefer! This one is all over!
