The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suligoj's corner calls for a 1-2. Suligoj obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tammipuomi throws a body kick that misses.
Nice shot lands for Suligoj.
Tammipuomi moves out of range of the leg kick from Suligoj.
Tammipuomi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Suligoj.
That kick from Suligoj tenderised Tammipuomi's leg. Tammipuomi is trying to keep his angry face on.
A left lands for Tammipuomi.
Suligoj thows a leg kick but Tammipuomi checks it

and Tammipuomi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tammipuomi.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tammipuomi throws a big right hand that misses.
Tammipuomi tries to free his leg and advance position but Suligoj is retaining full guard.
Suligoj really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tammipuomi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tammipuomi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Suligoj is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tammipuomi, into his guard.

Tammipuomi is looking to sinch up a triangle. Suligoj throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tammipuomi's body to avoid the submission. Tammipuomi has instead reached around Suligoj's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tammipuomi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
